Opportunity
Acquisition of a part-redundant warehouse and historic office building close to Aldgate East and Whitechapel transport connections.
Delivery
The under-utilised property was repositioned through refurbishment and a new flexible workspace and retail proposition.
Outcome
The investment brought obsolete space back into productive use and created a more institutional-quality asset in the City Fringe. The project achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Acquisition of a part redundant, under-utilised warehouse and historic office building close to Aldgate East and Whitechapel Crossrail stations. This was at the time a regeneration area, benefiting from the ongoing infrastructure investment and the continued expansion of the Tech City Hub. The scheme was completed in 2018.
Planning consent was secured and the site was developed into 22,000 sq ft flexible office, co-working and high-street retail. The project was majority new build and incorporated the historic office buildings into the new structure.
The project achieved BREEAM Excellent rating.
